Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts with a major in Geography provides students with an understanding of various aspects of the Earth, including its physical features, the role of humans in modifying the Earth, and the relationships between peoples and places.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles of place and space through the application of geospatial techniques such map reading, coordinate systems, and satellite & aerial photo imagery.
- Describe and classify a variety of spatial and environmental research approaches, methods, and techniques utilized in scientific research, resulting in geographic information literacy.
- Relate their acquired spatial knowledge and skills in a research project and post-graduation plan.
