ANIM 3620: Storyboarding & Composition 3 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: ART 1150 , passed the portfolio requirement, and been accepted into the School of Art and Design with majors in BFA Art (Including students in the Art Education concentration) and BFA Digital Animation. This course is an introduction to the use and creation of storyboards for animation. Students will interpret narratives including their own material into functional sequential art. Students will explore both traditional and digital media in the course.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
- Introduce students to the fundamentals of Storyboarding for various media, such as animation, live-action, video games, sequential art, and more.
- Help students use art and design to problem-solve.
- Improve a student’s composition skills, their artistic style, and their visual narrative skills.
- Bolster a student’s confidence in their visual communication skills.
