ANIM 4760: 3D Solo Production I

3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: ANIM 2770 
This is the first part of a two-course sequence where students learn to create 3D animation projects. The course will cover various topics, including idea generation, experimentation, problem-solving, planning and time management, and critical analysis to help students improve their digital 3D skills. Students can choose their 3D animation technique, content, and form. They will learn the importance of completing their projects and receive guidance from faculty as they work on their independent projects. Students are also encouraged to showcase their work in locations where they can network with professionals in their field.


Course Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate ability to use tools and techniques to create digital 3D media projects for their portfolio.
  2. Demonstrate development and completion of independent 3D projects.
  3. Analyze and evaluate each 3D media element in completed projects.
  4. Develop an understanding of the production process of digital 3D media productions.
  5. Develop skills in independent work through project management and task completion.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to discuss their work and peer projects with sensitivity and depth.
  7. Enhance ability to discuss current issues related to digital 3D media productions.
