ANIM 4730: Digital Animation Compositing and Editing

3 Credit Hours


Prerequisite: ANIM 2770  or ANIM 3635  
This course introduces the student to industry-standard compositing and editing software. The practical application of the software will include composing and editing digital 2D and 3D content for the final presentation.


Course Learning Outcomes
This course will introduce students to compositing and editing with a focus on digital 2D and 3D content for animation   

  • Basics of Compositing/Editing - interface, terminology 

  • Basic Editing - Basics of editing content with sound and sound effects 

  • Basic Compositing - Basics of compositing with visual effects 

  • Presentation - Compositing and Editing together with emphasis on story
